What is Asiabanc today started out in 1969 in his home town Middlesboro, KY as the Gagle Companies- Gagle Realty and Gagle Mortgage Brokerage. He represented First Investment Company, whose home office was in Columbus, Ohio with branches in Louisville, KY and Knoxville, TN.

In 1974 Merlin Gagle relocated to Crystal River, Florida where he passed the Florida Mortgage Broker state exam and founded First Florida Mortgage & Investment Corp.  Gagle was a School Psychologist for the Citrus County School System while he operated his mortgage business.

In 1977 Gagle returned to Middlesboro where he got back into real estate and mortgages with a new company named, The Black Gold Companies- Black Gold Realty and Black Gold Financial.

Black Gold Financial offered financial services such as consulting with corporations wanting to issue stock under the new SEC Regulation D. Gagle became an expert in Reg D and preparing PPMs (Private Placement Memorandums). He also got into financial & business consulting, where he focused on International Finance. In April 1986 he traveled to Italy as a Financial & Business Consultant to Tecnarca SRL of Milano. He was there two weeks and then returned for the whole month of July 1986, where he traveled extensively on Tecnarca’s behalf, even meeting with the corporation’s bankers in Lugono Switzerland.  See photos from Italy.  See Gagle’s Special Family Blessing from Pope John Paul II.

In 1989 Merlin Gagle moved back to Crystal River, Florida and founded Asiabanc, a financial consulting business and website (AsiaBanc.com).  Gagle was a Mortgage Banker and operated a branch for Alternative Mortgage Funding, whose Home Office is in Altamonte Springs, Florida. In the 1990s Florida had a shortage of CPIs (Child Protective Investigators), a division of law enforcement, and Gagle worked in that capacity for the Florida Department of Children & Families, which required passing of a very rigorous criminal background check.

Gagle stayed in Crystal River until April 2009, when he moved his US address to his son’s address in Lake Mary, Florida and then moved to Cebu City, Philippines, his chosen place of retirement. Seeing a big need for funds in this booming city, he continued his AsiaBanc.com consulting business. He works out of his home, where he has the latest in computers and communications equipment.  There are two telephone numbers that permit TOLL FREE calls to and from the US as well as worldwide calls.
